The presentation generated a lot of interest from the congress participants particularly in the status of the inCASA installations in existing commercial applications, the cost of such a system and in the result thus far, both the technical results and in relation to customer and user satisfaction. In addition to a very positive response of the paper at the congress, sizedn gained a lot of new and useful contacts.

The paper was written and submitted by the sizedn team led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Sikora, who is an active member to VDE and member of the board of the regional branch of Freiburg, and presented by Daniel Jaeckle who is one of the engineers from sizedn working on the inCASA project.

VDE is one of the largest technical and scientific associations in Europe with more than 35,000 members, and it runs various Technical Societies, including the German Association of Biomedical Engineering (DGBMT). DGBMT organizes the annual Biomedical Congress, which is one of the largest events of its kind in Germany.

The 45th Biomedical Congress took place from 27th to 30th of September 2011 in Freiburg. Its main focus topics included Telemedicine, eHealth and knowledge based systems, Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) and Personalized Medical Technologies.
